Accenture, world’s leading professional services company providing consulting and outsourcing services, has invested 1.070 billion to further expand in the software development segment with 7,607 new additional hires.

Philippine Economic Zone Authority Lilia B. De Lima told reporters that Accenture’s investment was implemented in five phases to expand its software development capability at the Venvi IT Hub in Uptown BGC.

According to De Lima, the first expansion started in January to April while the four others were implemented in May, June, July, and August creating 7,607 jobs.

The expansion is projected to bring in additional exports of $182 million for Accenture. Accenture employs 35,000 in the country.

In February this year, Accenture announced its third delivery center in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. The two other centers are located in Metro Manila and Cebu City.

The Ilocos facility will initially provide Accenture Operations services in health administration and finance for the company’s global clients across Europe and North America. Accenture will hire almost 200 local graduates and experienced professionals in Ilocos to fill these positions.

Accenture’s expansion in Ilocos was largely due to the region’s excellent telecommunications infrastructure, an international airport and an abundant talent pool make Ilocos an ideal location for Accenture.

As a leading technology provider, Accenture serves clients in more than 120 countries. It works across more than 40 industries.

Accenture helps develop and implement technology solutions to improve its clients’ productivity and efficiency — and may run parts of their operations on their behalf. The ultimate goal is to enable its clients to become highperformance businesses and governments.
