An amazing series o coincidences

DO you know that there are eerie and awesome links between the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in America on September 11, 2001, and the earlier Assyrian attacks in Ancient Israel in the 8th century during Biblical times as described in Isaiah 9:10? Quite a coincidence.

*** More than 15 years ago, on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to be exact, there was a series of four coordinated Islamic terrorist suicide attacks by 19 militants associated with the Al-Qaeda group. The targets of the terrorist attacks were US landmarks, namely, the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City; the Pentagon, just outside Washington, DC; and three other landmarks one of which was speculated to be the White House. Four airliners were hijacked – two crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center, the third plane hit Pentagon, and the 4th plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania without reaching the destination target because the passengers tried to overcome the terrorists. All the 45 passengers of the 4th plane died. This shocking 9/11 attacks happened during the incumbency of US President George W. Bush. There were 2,996 people (including the 19 hijackers) who died. The damage reached at least US$10 billion in property and infrastructure. Also, the attacks were the deadliest to firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of US, with 343 and 72 killed, respectively.

A Jewish messianic rabbi/author highly respected in the Christian communities in US and other countries by the name of Jonathan Cahn made an astounding and striking parallelism between the 9/11 attacks in US and the initial/first Assyrian invasion on Israel during Biblical times.

*** In both the cases of US and Ancient Israel – Isaiah 9:10 was the defiant response of the Israelites and the Americans.

In the case of the US, the 9/11 was followed by a declaration of defiance. Twice, American leaders (Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle on September 12, 2001, and on September 11, 2004, by Senator John Edwards, then a vice-presidential candidate) invoked Isaiah 9:10. They said: “We will rebuild, we will recover, and US will emerge stronger than before.”

Isaiah 9:10, an Old Testament verse with its vow of defiance, states: “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” (King James Version)

The American leaders were echoing the show of defiance of ancient Israel. Ten years after the first invasion in 722 BC, the Assyrians conquered the Israelites. God’s judgment fell on the defiant and unrepentant Israelites who continued to resist God. They ignored God’s warning (the first invasion of the Assyrians was considered God’s warning).

*** Likewise, according to Jonathan Cahn, the 9/11 attack was a warning (a harbinger) to the US. It was not heeded and the 9/11 attack was followed by two record crashes of the stock market. The first happened on the first day of trading after the attacks on September 17, 2001. The second occurred seven years later on September 29, 2008, at the onset of the Great Recession.
