LGU employee, two others fall in GenSan drug sting

A local government unit (LGU) employee and two others were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in General Santos City on Tuesday.

Undersecre­tary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., PDEA Director General, identified the suspects as Sid Colipog, 43, a resident of Barangay Batomelong, General Santos City; Jamor Acmad, 35, a farmer from Purok 5, Baluntay, Alabel, Sarangani Province and Joey Juaniza, 42, a welder and resident of Relocation Nursery Road, Barangay Lagao, General Santos City.

Colipog, according to PDEA, is an employee of the General Santos City LGU assigned at the Waste Management Office.

Cacdac said at around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO 12) under the direct supervisio­n of Director Lyndon Aspacio conducted a buy-bust operation along French Street, Queenies Love Village, Barangay City Heights, General Santos City that led to the arrest of Acmad.
