BUNAWAN, Agusan del Sur – At least 250 farmers recently completed their four -month school on the air (SOA) course on rice and climate change offered by the Agusan del Sur State College of Agricultur­e and Technology (ASSCAT) in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. The mass graduation was attended by Bunawan town Mayor Edwin Elorde and ASSCAT President Juarlito V. Garcines. The ASSCAT president said he appreciate­d the non-formal education through the use of radio. “We are looking forward for our next partnershi­p with the DA, we will continue to be allies for the developmen­t of the agricultur­e sector in the region,” he added. The SOA is a partnershi­p activity with the Philippine Rice Research Institute-Agusan and Regional Agricultur­e and Fisheries Council in coordinati­on with the Provincial Agricultur­e Office of Agusan del Sur and the Municipal Agricultur­e Office of Bunawan.
