PNoy appoints Dasalla-Agito to COA, replacing Mendoza

President Aquino has appointed Isabel Dasalla-Agito, a lawyer and a certified public accountant, as a new commissioner of the Commission on Audit (COA).

Agito will serve a term at the state audit agency until Feb. 2, 2018, replacing Heidi Mendoza who was recently named head of United Nations’ (UN’s) internal oversight body.

The ad interim appointment of Agito will be transmitted to the Commission on Appointments, according to Presidential Communications Operations Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr.

Agito previously worked as senior external auditor for the United Nations Board of Auditors and was also resident auditor for various government agencies.
