-

A driver who was stabbed dead was found by his nephew inside a commercial establishment in Quezon City last Friday morning.

Police identified the victim as Charlie Liwag, 42. He was found dead about 10:30 a.m. inside the toilet of Truckside Car Accessories, located along Scout Borromeo Street, Barangay South Triangle.

Christian Descalsote told investigators that he was calling out his uncle at the shop that day but the victim didn’t show up. He decided to look inside the shop himself and saw the bloodstains on the floor.

He followed it towards the toilet and there he found the body of his uncle prompting him to call the authorities.

Responding investigators said the victim died from multiple stab wounds in his body.

They also found a contusion on the victim’s right neck.

Liezel Ann Reyes and Rogelio Quiacit, employees at a nearby pawnshop, told the police that before the incident, they saw the victim’s wife, Salvacion, went out of the shop carrying a travelling bag and rode a taxi cab. (Betheena Kae Unite)
