Melting Pot Festival

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — A trade fair at the plazuela opened on the sixth day of this city’s “5th Melting Pot Festival” last Saturday to showcase local products made of sugarcane and farm-fresh vegetables, fruits, and even rice. Mayor Gelacio Manalang said the fair aims to promote products of local micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) and cooperatives in the city. This year’s festival, which carries the theme “Ituloy ang Sigla sa Lungsod ng Tarlac (Continuing the Vigor of Tarlac City,” will culminate on January 20 – the feast day of the city’s patron, Saint Sebastian – with a “Piyesta Pansitan sa Ligtasan” and “Grand Parade with the Stars.” (Mar T.
