Consumer Electronics LG Electronics Philippines Managing Director (MD) Sung Woo Nam confirmed to Philippine media delegates interesting updates of its consumer electronics products:

The LG G5, the latest smartphone in the G Series, will be announced next week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and would be available on April of this year. The LG G series is a line of sophisticated Android mobile devices that was introduced in 2012 under the LG Optimum series. LG later discontinued the Optimus line and formally unveil the G series as a replacement name for the Optimum series and also serve as the flagship seriesserie for LG's high-end devices.

The G series' lineup includes smar smartphones like the LG G4; their most recentrece smartphone release, the LG G3G Beat; which is a budge budget

friendly phonephon with exeptional features, the LG G Flex 2; which has a vibrant OLED Screen, and many more. The G series also had a tablet known as the LG G Pad which was released in 2014 with 4 screen size choices (7.0, 8.0, 8.3, 10.1) but was later discontinued as LG brought the focus of the G line to their smartphones.

The V10, LG's flagship device would be improved greatly with better specs and would be called V20, V30 and so on. The LG V10, released in October 2015, is designed on capturing significant and memorable moments in vibrance and quality using its 16MP Rear Camera. With the camera as the central focus of the mobile device, the LG V10 boasts essential camera software features such as geo-tagging (for locating where the pictures are taken), touch focus (wherein it will focus its lens by touching a part in the screen where you need the camera to be focused), face/smile detection, panorama, and HDR (High Dynamic Range imaging). It also has hardware features like a laser autofocus system, and OIS (optical image stabilizer, which will prevent blurriness), and a LED Flash.

Besides the camera, the LG V10 also has a Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 and a dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57 processors which will help the smartphone in handling high quality photos and videos.

The LG G Pro will not be having its comeback after its last iteration in the LG G Pro 2 in 2014. The LG G Pro series was introduced in 2013 as a line that had better specs and colorways than the regular G series, with the first iteration being the LG Optimus G Pro.

The G Pro line is cotinued later on with the release of the G Pro Lite and the G Pro 2, with the latter being the last model of the G Pro series before being put on an indefinite hiatus following the announcement of the LG G3 smartphone.

The LG G Flex 2 will also never be receiving a follow-up as its was only a proof of concept that LG is capable of producing a mobile device with curve screen and self healing material.

As for LG's ideas for brand new products, they stated that they will be releasing a device similar to the BB-8 (the popular droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens) that can be controlled by an LG mobile device. MD Nam calls this product as "a friend".

LG also stated that they will "minimize curved, and maximize flat" in the Philippine TV Market, as their recent study concludes that Filipinos are more often to buy flat TVs rather than curved ones, this study prompts LG to come up with products more suitable for Filipino TV buffs. In connection to the Philippine TV industry, LG will also have an exclusive partnership with Netflix in the Philippines, this deal comprises of a free six-month Netflix trial with every purchase of a LG Smart TV in the country.
