JUST A THOUGHT: “It takes great courage to faithfully follow what we know to be true.” —Sara E. Anderson

GRACE NOT ROSEMARIE’S BABY: The strongest argument to the widely spread urban legend alleging that former actress Rosemarie Sonora is Sen. Grace Poe’s biological mother should lead us back to 1968, the year Poe was supposedly born.

On the said year, according to Lilibeth Vera Perez-Nakpil, caretaker of films produced by Sampaguita Pictures, Rosemarie acted in no less than 6 or 7 pictures.

Susan Roces added that her younger sister also had a running program, “The Rosemarie- Pepito Show,” on ABS- CBN at the time. Lolit Solis, already a movie reporter at the time, confirmed that Rosemarie was never missing in action during those years.

“How could she have been pregnant then when she was so busy with work,” Rosemarie’s daughter, Sheryl Cruz, wonders.

Baby K. Jimenez, another veteran journalist, says she was a frequent visitor to the Sonora residence in San Juan at the time and never did she witness a pregnant Rose.

“Her boyfriend then was Ricky Belmonte, who later became her husband,” says Baby K.

These declarations, direct and straight to the point, should put to rest once and for all the issue surrounding Grace Poe’s birth and Rosemarie’s so- called indirect participation in it.
