MIASCOR gets IATA safety registration
MIASCOR Ground Handling Corporation (MGH), the largest independent aviation ground service provider in the Philipines, is now registered under the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) after successfully completing all required audits and evaluations.
The registration of MIASCOR to an internationally recognized audit program is the first for the ground service provider’s Manila station.
“The skills, expertise and readiness of our team to undergo the audit process of ISAGO gave us the confidence to pursue a highly regarded program in the industry. Being ISAGO registered shall give our clients the assurance that we place utmost priority in meeting worldclass quality and standards. This bodes well for MGH and its growing customer base,” shares MIASCOR Chief Executive Officer Tristan Dumlao.
MGH is ISAGO-registered in six operational disciplines, namely, Organization and Management, Load Control, Passenger and Baggage Handling, Aircraft Handling and Loading, Aircraft Ground Movement, and Cargo and Mail Handling.
“I am sure a lot of manpower time, resources and pain had to be spent to achieve ISAGO requirements which is no easy task. But the vision and commitment of the owners and management [of MIASCOR] to excellence is the hallmark that pulled the successful ISAGO registration. Their commitment to benchmark with international safety standards is its philosophy and culture of doing business”. In a recent ceremonial awarding of the registration to MGH, IATA Philippines Country Manager Atty. Roberto Lim shares “Safety in the air starts with safety in the ground! Airlines are therefore only as safe as their ground handling service provider. Airline clients are thus assured that they are in a good and steady pair of hands with MIASCOR.”
