Emirates Airlines launching circular Dubai-Cebu-Clark service March 30
Emirates Airlines is launching a daily Dubai-Cebu-Clark-Dubai (DXBCEB-CRK-DXB) circular service in the Philippines starting March 30, 2016 to boost international connectivity as well as tourism and exports in Cebu and Clark.
With the launch of this new route, Emirates will operate 32 flights a week between the Philippines and Dubai in three gateways – the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 (MNL), the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) and the Clark International Airport (CRK).
Emirates currently operates twice daily flights, an additional four weekly flights from Manila to Dubai and soon, a daily circular service from Cebu to Dubai.
“Our network of over 150 destinations will help enhance connectivity for Cebu and Clark, providing more convenience and choices for travellers, more markets for regional products and more opportunities for inbound tourism,” according to Abdalla Al Zamani, Country Manager, Emirates Philippines.
The service will use a two- class Boeing 777-300ER to connect travelers in Cebu and Clark to the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas, via Dubai.
“Filipinos can connect to 39 cities in Europe, 16 in the Middle East as well as a number of destinations across Africa and the Americas,” he added.
“It also complements our ‘Visit the Philippines Again 2016’ campaign,” noted Benito Bengzon Jr., Undersecretary, Department of Tourism Philippines.
“This service will enhance the country’s trade links with the rest of the world and boost incoming tourism, expand travel options for Filipinos based in the Luzon region and Cebu and offer more flexibility for overseas workers departing the Philippines or looking for options to fly home,” he added.
