The first Internet of Things PH ongoing at Megamall
Even before there was a World Wide Web, there was an Internet of Things. It is a phrase that 87% of people haven't heard of. IoT or Internet of Things refers to devices that collect and transmit data via the Internet. It helps them “communicate” with each other. ATMs were some of the first Internet of Things objects as far as 1974.
As the Internet of Things ( IoT) phenomenon becomes more and more mainstream, the Department of Science and Technology – (DOST-ICTO) together with EConnext Ideas + Media and Red Wizard Events Management organized the first ever Internet of Things Summit in the Philippines on March 4-5, 2015 at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
The IoT Summit Philippines 2016 will be having a Plenary session that will focus more on what’s the latest advancements on Wearables such as Android Watch, Tagbands, Virtual & Augmented Reality.
They will also cover Connected Health, Connected Living, Big Data and Security, 3D Printing and the Future of 5G in the Philippines.
The 2-day summit will highlight some interactive activities like Virtual Reality Games, Augmented Reality experience, and alike.
It will also feature different start-ups, industry partners and leading tech companies who are the front runners of the Internet of Things in the Philippines.
