Following a record-setting performance in March, Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s (IPC) logged its secondbest results this year in April with 38 percènt increase in sales.

The growth reflects a solid year-onyear improvement, signaling a strong start to 2016’s second quarter.

IPC bared its total deliveries in the first four months of the year have reached 8,798 units, recording a 37.5-percent rise over the 6,396-unit tally posted during the same period in 2015.

Of the four-month total, 2,219 units accounted for April, IPC said, citing joint data coming from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA).

Last month’s performance also saw a 54-percent jump compared to that which IPC achieved in April, 2015, and is only 218 units short of the company’s best-ever total in March this year.

“Isuzu Philippines is pleasantly surprised to find out how close our sales in April came to those we have made in March, especially considering that it took the company nearly two decades to achieve that record. The result places us firmly on track to meet our year-end target, and indicates an upward trend not only for Isuzu, but also for the entire Philippine automotive industry,” said IPC President Hajime Koso.

Leading IPC’s product range in April was the Isuzu Crosswind with 479 units sold, and a total of 1,562 units moved in the first four months of the year. Both figures are improvements over comparable periods in 2015, signifying the model’s steady demand in the local market.

Supporting Crosswind deliveries in April were those of the flagship Isuzu mu-X sport-utility vehicle with 983 units, Isuzu N-Series light-duty trucks with 355 units, Isuzu D-MAX pickup with 338 units, and the company’s wide range of commercial trucks and buses with 64 units. All models recorded gains from their results during the same periods last year.

Along with the company’s performance, IPC also announced that the D-MAX and mu-X are offered through accessible ownership plans for the entire month of May. Certain D-MAX variants are available at an all-in down payment fee of 170,000, or for an outright 1150,000 cash discount. Customers can also take home the mu-X LS-A 2.5-liter VGS 4x4 A/T through an all-in down payment fee of 1130,000, or get a cash discount of 1130,000.

Isuzu’s light-, medium- and heavyduty trucks, which have enjoyed number one status in the country for 16 consecutive years (2000 to 2015), are also offered with discounts until the end of May. The N-Series models are available with a 130,000 price reduction, the F-Series with 140,000, and the Cand E-Series models with 150,000. All truck models also come with free LTO registration for three years and 110,000 worth of PMS coupons for parts.
