Summer’s over but there are lots to do for having fun and looking fab

The rainy season is here. School is about to start. Vacation is almost over. Whether you’re shopping for new school supplies or just going out with your friends on a night out, this is the perfect time to plan for something fun and exciting. We have a question from Twitter which has something to do with making the most of these in-between times: 2. Book a quick beach getaway

A quick beach destination is still worth it even on a rainy day. This is also perfect for those on a budget because you can get cheaper rates at this time of the month. Flights to popular beach destinations become cheap! Book a room at White House Beach Resort Boracay, conveniently located at Station 1. The price is surprisingly affordable. If you book this month, they are offering a special 20% discount on their published rates. Catch their happy hour from 7AM to 7PM. @jakegalvez on Instagram @lyaor0306: Hi Jake, I’ve been stressing out because it’s the last few days of my vacation. Where can I go to have some well deserved R&R?

If you want to spend some quality time with friends and family, and rejuvenate yourself in the process, I sure have tips for you: 1. Go on a road trip

Road trips are fun! If you’re heading down south, then I know a perfect place where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Taal Volcano and escape bustling Manila. Casa Alegria is a bedand-breakfast place located in Tagay- tay City. It’s great for day trips because of its convenient location and easy access to other destinations that Tagaytay has to offer. 3. Binge on healthy Japanese food

Japanese food is easy to find but looking for good quality Japanese food is a different story. I love going to Japan primarily because of the food. But you don’t have to go to the land of the rising sun to have a taste of this. Minama Saki by Astoria is a gem that I’ve discovered in the heart of Ortigas. You can swing by during lunch break or after office hours for dinner. My personal favorite is the Aburi sushi. Once tasted, you will want another round! 4. Get a well-deserved pampering session

Pampering yourself once in a while is a way to repay your body for all the hard work. We may work ourselves day and night so one full day at the spa is a no-brainer. Blue Water Day Spa is a luxurious spa where you can enjoy services like a rejuvenating aromatherapy massage. Be sure to try the movie theater massage. This is a new way to literally take the saying “sit back and relax.” You’ll have a good massage while enjoying your favorite movie.

5. Find yourself

As cliché as it sounds, finding yourself and channeling your inner peace is easier said than done. Why not take a yoga class? Life Yoga is all about celebrating life through yoga, food, music, art, and community, while bringing holistic health in a fun atmosphere. It offers a variety of classes that cater to both beginner or advanced students, like the Ash-Asana class or the basic and relaxed class Yoginner class. You can drop by Vibe Café and enjoy healthy eats after your class. It’s the only yoga studio with its own café.
