VINA, OTHER STARS IN CF TOUR
SINGER-ACTRESS VINA Morales takes center stage in Casino Filipino shows this August.
With CF’s monthly entertainment theme “Agosto Mo, Agosto Ko, Panalo,” Vina is set to captivate the hearts of CF guests with her hits “Hindi Ko Kaya,” “Sala Sa Init, Sala sa Lamig,” “Sa Puso Ko,” “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana,” and more.
The multi-awarded performer, who is celebrating her 30th year in show business, will perform at CF’s branches in Pavilion (Aug. 4), Angeles (Aug. 6), Malabon Satellite (Aug. 11), Cebu (Aug. 13), Olongapo (Aug. 25), and Tagaytay (Aug. 27).
Other artists performing at CF this month are Joey G. (Aug. 3 at CF Angeles); Wency Cornejo (Aug. 4 at CF Olongapo and Aug. 12 at Madison Satellite); Norman Mitchell (Aug. 4 at Binondo Satellite and Aug. 13 at Crown Regency Satellite); Klarisse de Guzman (Aug. 5 at Mimosa Satellite and Aug. 25 at Mactan Satellite); Jam Morales (Aug. 5 at CF-Davao, Aug. 12 at CF Pavilion, Aug. 19 at Malabon Satellite, Aug. 20 at CF Cebu, Aug. 26 at Mimosa Satellite but I did what I loved.’ I think that is embedded in that remark. “But there’s a great place in England that has wonderful food that is sort of pre-packaged but it’s gourmet, great curries and things like that. We were around the corner from a great Fish and Chips shop. So once a week, we would do that. But only once a week because you will just die if you do that (everyday). So mostly, I would make vegetable things. I just found the greatest recipe and it’s so much work, but it is fantastic.
“It’s Frutti De Mari and it’s swordfish, calamari, shrimp, scallops and clams. You make it with the smallest pasta. You don’t want the whole recipe but it’s really good. It has an interesting mix of flavors, because it’s in the tomato base, but it includes cumin, thyme and sage. I have never tried that combination before and it’s so fragrant. You cook it and it takes a long time. But the fish is very short, but it’s really great. And for drinks? A nice Rose.”
