Charges filed vs road rage suspect

Criminal complaints were filed yesterday afternoon against road rage suspect Vhonn Martin Tanto for the death of bicycist Mark Vincent Garalde and the wounding of Rocel Bondoc. Tanto was brought before prosecutors of the Department of Justice (DOJ) for inquest over murder and frustrated murder complaints. The complaint was considered submitted for resolution after the Tanto waived the conduct of a preliminary investigation. Meanwhile, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II met with Garalde’s mother, Malou, 62, and presented her with cash and check amounting to R25,000. Aguirre, who said the money came from his own pocket, added that Bondoc will also be receiving R25,000 as well.
