Pacquiao supports death penalty

Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao supported yesterday President Duterte’s call for the passage by Congress of a bill seeking the reinstitution of the death penalty to counter the scourge of the multi-billion-peso illegal drug trade. Pacquiao made the call after meeting President Duterte at Malacañang last Tuesday night where the Chief Executive asked the help of Filipinos to have the death penalty bill passed to help in his anti-drug and anti-crime campaign. Pacquiao said the nation needs the death penalty because almost all drug lords arrested while operating in the country are foreigners.
