DOJ vows protection of the youth
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, II has championed the cause of justice and the protection of the youth from the ills of society as his message at the kickoff ceremony of the “Five Pillars of Justice Month” at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, here, the other day.
Speaking on the theme “Kabataan ay Gabayan Tungo sa Lipunang Maunlad at Mapayapa,” Atty. Erickson Balmes read Aguirre’s message in which he said he will use all the powers at his disposal to achieve positive change in society and protection of the youth against all the threats to their productive growth, especially illegal drugs.
“I enjoined everyone to protect our youth from all the threats that surrounds them. For the longest time, our youth have been the ones sacrificed in the altar of retribution either as pushers or users, this has got to stop,” he said. “Please stop it and stop it now. Please do not wait for the DOJ to go after you with all the powers at its disposal, you will not like it,” he added.
The DOJ Secretary’s message also shared some future plans of the Duterte administration such as the launching of a 24/7 text hotline where information against all criminal, drug related activities, and corruption in the government can be reported. The said hotline will be operational on or before the 15th of this month.
