Aetas get solar lamps from BCDA
CAPAS, Tarlac — Around 120 students of Manabayukan Elementary School in Capas, Tarlac each received solar lamps from state firm Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). “Solar lamps will not only allow students to read and study better at night but will also reduce exposure to harmful fumes from kerosene lamps,” BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Arnel Paciano Casanova said in a press statement. The donation is in line with the LightEd PH program of the Department of Education, which aims to provide a beneficial learning environment to students living in areas with no electricity. (Mar T.
