Mandaluyong is fast becoming the better place to set down roots in Metro Manila. Aside from the fact that this city is located in the heart of Metro Manila – as well as central on the country’s important artery, EDSA – Mandaluyong was once largely residential and industrial so many of the old homes still stand, making the city less congested than the CBDs. It is still teeming with green parks, century-old trees and quiet streets.

A new dynamism gave rise to major capital investments into the city, transforming Mandaluyong into a promising business and financial center of Metro Manila. Due to this, Mandaluyong was named the “Tiger City of the Philippines.”

Rising with the city is a new and swanky condominium development positioned to allow access to the best that the city provides, while taking advantage of the views its towering and central location has to offer. It’s called Vista Shaw, and it will rise over the metro from the Mandaluyong side of Shaw Boulevard. Panoramas are important when one lives within an urban community. Everything is up close and uncomfortably personal. But 38 stories up, the world is yours and comes with the breeze from the city’s winds.

Vista Shaw’s Sky Deck recreates the calming resort escape. It offers peace and escape. A social hall, gym, game lounge, pocket gardens, and sun deck create the “sanctuary” vibe.

Vista Shaw’s location is notable. Accessibly close to the metro’s network of highways and transport hubs – including the MRT 2 – it is a stone’s throw from the Ortigas CBD, and 10 to 20 minutes from both Makati CBD and Bonifacio Global City. It stands at the crux between Pasig and Mandaluyong cities, and is another five minutes from both Quezon City and San Juan, allowing access to four more of the NCR’s main urban centers.

The property also has access to the commercial and recreational centers, restaurants, and supermarkets. For peace of mind, hospitals are nearby. Schools are also close, as well as a host of preschools.

The two-tower, 38storey building will rise on prime land right at the corner of Laurel Street and Shaw Boulevard. Once owned by President Jose P. Laurel, it was also the home of his son, Vice President Salvador Laurel.

To pay tribute to the property’s history and prestige, the main mansion will remain a commercial hub connecting the twin towers as fluidly as it connects the past with the present, and creating for the residents a self-contained vertical community where everything they need is a few floors down.

The commercial area within the tower’s property gives residents a 350-sqm playground of commercial shops and restaurants.

The tower will be a nest of oneto two-bedroom suites and studio apartments, each of the 38 residential floors offer a low-density collection of 20 to 23 units. Ranging from 22.4 sqm to a sizeable 60.8 sqm, the units are blueprinted using Vista Land’s space-planning capabilities, making the areas look and feel bigger than they actually are.

Vista Shaw features top-tier building features including a concierge in the reception area that will be manned 24/7, a foyer with welcoming interiors, private mailboxes and an elevator lobby offering three passenger elevators and one service elevator that go from the basement parking to the Sky Deck.

For safety, the tower will have 24/7 security, a state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression system, and an annunciator panel with emergency speakers in all floors.

The exteriors of the tower – designed by Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan and Partners – will echo the conveniences inside, such as the Wi-Fi and CCTV system in all the common areas, standby-generators, a central garbage system, an elevated water tank and underground water cistern to back up the Manila Water system.

Vista Residences’ architects and engineers design buildings that make full use of natural light and air circulation – to take advantage of the sun and wind, and lessen the toll on the environment and resources.

The developer has four decades of experience in building homes, developing vertical properties and creating master planned communities. It is committed to assuming a chief role in the condominium sector, creating awareness of their capabilities, as well as enhancing efficiencies in their resource distribution.
