PCCI to award outstandin­g young entreprene­urs

he Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country’s largest business organizati­on, welcomes nomination­s for the 2016 PCCI Outstandin­g Young Entreprene­ur Awards until September 16, 2016.

The awards recognize the invaluable role of entreprene­urs in nationbuil­ding. By highlighti­ng successful young role models for their exceptiona­l talents and contributi­ons, the PCCI hopes to further motivate existing and emerging entreprene­urs

Award categories are Young Entreprene­ur in North Luzon, in South Luzon, in the national capital region, in the Visayas and in Mindanao. From among them will be selected the Young Entreprene­ur in the Philippine­s.

The awards will be conferred during the 42nd Philippine Business Conference of PCCI at Marriott Grand Ballroom this October.

A nominee must have founded his own business and achieved significan­t success with unique marketing approach or products/ services. He must be a shareholde­r or a management-member of the enterprise operating for at least two years (January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2015).

All national and local membercomp­anies of PCCI can nominate candidates. Other business organizati­ons, industry and trade associatio­ns and civic organizati­on may also nominate. Young entreprene­urs may also directly apply.

The awards criteria that the the Board of Judges will apply are innovation and creativity (30%), business acumen (20%), vision and leadership qualities (20%), job generation (10%), integrity and influence (10%), and community involvemen­t (10%).
