Cavite pusher slain in Bataan drug sting

CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan – A suspected drug pusher who traveled all the way from Metro Manila was shot and killed after being lured into a drug sting and resisting arrest in the municipali­ty of Orion.

The Bataan police said Jojo Gorayeb, of Naic, Cavite was shot dead by members of the Intelligen­ce Branch of the Bataan Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and Philippine National Police - Orion under the direct supervisio­n of Chief Inspector Eduardo Guevarra Jr.

In his report to Sr. Supt Benjie Silo, Bataan provincial police director, Guevarra said his team conducted an antiillega­l drugs operation in Sitio Bangad Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Orion.

The said buy-bust operation was arranged thru the aid of a confidenti­al informant who establishe­d the initial contact with the suspect who is involved in drug pushing, said Guevarra.

"The suspect arrived onboard a passenger bus from Manila to trade with our police poseur buyer waiting at a waiting shed at Sitio Bangad, Sto. Domingo, Orion, Bataan,” Guevarra said.

“But before the transactio­n was made, the suspect noticed the presence of policemen and pulled out a handgun and fired at our police poseur buyer, prompting other police officers to shoot the suspect which resulted in his instantane­ous death." added Guevarra.

Recovered from the fallen suspect were a loaded .38 caliber revolver without serial number , a heat - sealed transparen­t plastic sachet containing shabu, a brown wallet with P208 cash and two identifica­tion cards bearing the names Joel Gorayeb and Jojo Gorayeb.

Rizal drug raid A raid at a couple’s residence in Tanay, Rizal, suspected to be a drug den yielded eight sachets of shabu and drugusing items with traces of illegal drugs and substances the other night.

Arrested were Rosalde Laura, 49 and his alleged live-in-partner, Ma. Susana Dael, 51.

Chief Inspector Bartolome Marigondon said that based on an intelligen­ce report, the couple is involved in illegal drugs, which prompted the local police force to request for a search warrant from the court.

Cavite: 1 dead, 1 wounded One person was shot and killed while another was wounded by a still unidentifi­ed gunman in Dasmarinas City, Cavite Saturday night.

The local police force said the incident is drug-related.

The Dasmariñas police identified the fatality as Jeffrey Magsino Encabo, 30, a resident of Sitio Bucal. Wounded was Ronaldo Tolentino Dogelio, 41,of Barangay Maitim, Amadeo, Cavite.

The gunman fled shortly after the shooting at 9 p.m. Saturday.
