Cagayan: 1500-K bounty for killers
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba has offered a 1500,000 reward for any information that will lead to the identification and arrest of individuals behind the murder of Pamplona Vice Mayor Aaron Sampaga. Mamba also assured the security of those witnesses, who would identify the suspects. On August 5 this year, Sampaga, 39, was shot and killed by unidentified suspects in Barangay Masi, Pamplona, Cagayan. The victim was attending a gathering at the residence of his close friend when the suspects attacked him using an M-16 rifle and a .45 caliber pistol. One of Sampaga’s companions was also injured during the shooting incident. Meanwhile, the local government of Luna, Apayao also offered a 1100,000 reward for identification and arrest of assailants who shot and killed Sangguniang Bayan Secretary Epifania Cayetano last August 19.
