Central Luzon: Flood alert up
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PNA) – The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-3 (RDRRMC-3) on Monday asked the local disaster councils to strictly monitor the low-lying and flood-prone areas as monsoon rains drenched many parts of the region. Josefina Timoteo, chairperson of the RDRRMC and regional director of the Office of the Civil Defense in Region 3, said all concerned members of the disaster councils have been advised to take precautionary measures and other disaster response efforts. ”We already advised all Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) in the region to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the residents, particularly those living in the lowlying, flood and landslide prone areas,” Timoteo said.
