Central Luzon: Flood alert up

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PNA) – The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-3 (RDRRMC-3) on Monday asked the local disaster councils to strictly monitor the low-lying and flood-prone areas as monsoon rains drenched many parts of the region. Josefina Timoteo, chairperso­n of the RDRRMC and regional director of the Office of the Civil Defense in Region 3, said all concerned members of the disaster councils have been advised to take precaution­ary measures and other disaster response efforts. ”We already advised all Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) in the region to take precaution­ary measures to ensure the safety of the residents, particular­ly those living in the lowlying, flood and landslide prone areas,” Timoteo said.
