Leyte town given 11.6 M for community projects

TACLOBAN CITY — The governor of Leyte has extended 11.6 million to 13 barangays of Barugo town in Leyte for community projects.

Leyte Governor Leopldo Dominico Petilla announced told reporters that he handed out the financial assistance to barangay officials during his visit to Barugo.

Petilla said he makes it a point to visit the barangays of his province to find out the real situation and provide possible solutions for their problems.

Here is a breakdown of the barangays and the amount allotted to the projects:

• Anumantag, 1100,000 for road concreting

• Picas, 1100,000 for building a drainage canal

• Guindohan, 1100,000 road concreting

• Santarin, 1100,000 for improvemen­t of barangay hall

• Pongos, 1200,000 for road concreting

• Hiagsam,

• Sta. Rosa, canal

• Poblacion district 4, road concreting

• Tutug-an, street lights.

• Abango, street lights

• Cabarasan, 1100,000 concreting and fencing of basketball court

• Bulod, 1200,000 for road concreting
