Meralco powers 2016 Young Engineers and Scientists Summit (YESS)

Meralco Power Academy (MPA), the electric distributi­on utility's training, education and thought leadership provider, brought together 400 College and Senior High School students from various schools & universiti­es for the 2016 YES Summit via a learning symposium. Sessions led by local and internatio­nal speakers were aimed at igniting the students' awareness of the exciting possibilit­ies & opportunit­ies in the field of science & technology, enough to fan their pursuit of the Science, Technology, Engineerin­g & Math (STEM) track. Apart from the sessions, MPA also enabled the students to be part of the Meralco Technology & Innovation Summit (MTECH) where they were able to witness and experience the latest technologi­es in the energy industry Leading the symposium is Ramon Segismundo (top photo, 3rd from left), Meralco SVP and Head of HR and Corporate Services, concurrent­ly MPA President & Trustee.
