‘Habagat’ affects extreme N. Luzon

The state weather bureau said yesterday that the “habagat” or southwest monsoon is affecting the extreme portion of Northern Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) noted that Batanes and the Babuyan group of islands will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. The rest of the country including Metro Manila meanwhile will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. (Chito A. Chavez)
