Lingkod Bayan Caravan in Pinagkaisa­han, Makati today

The Makati City government will hold the third leg of its “Lingkod Bayan Caravan’ in Barangay Pinagkaisa­han” today.

The caravan, which will offer a wide range of services to Makati residents is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at Danlig corner Tolentino Streets, in Barangay Pinagkaish­an.

Healthcare services will be made available to city residents as well as free legal consultati­on and assistance.

It also offers a number of essential services, including the processing of new applicatio­ns or renewal of Makati Health Program’s Yellow Card, BLU Card, White Card, and PhilHealth registrati­on by the Makati Social Welfare Department (MSWD).

A team from the City Civil Registrati­on Office (CCRO) will provide services for late registrati­on and birth certificat­e authentica­tion by the National Statistics Office.

Free dog and cat vaccinatio­n against rabies will also be provided by the City Veterinary Services Office (MVSO).

The Legal Aid program will promote legal literacy and provide free legal counsel to less privileged residents of Makati. It will also provide assistance on inquiries regarding the status of cases pending at the Public Attorney’s Office.

Earlier, Makati City Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay vowed that her administra­tion will offer more social and health services to city residents to ensure their health and well-being.

To ensure that their residents get quality health services, she browsed the idea of extending the validity of the yellow card, which essentiall­y allows the cardholder­s to avail of free or subsidized hospital services at Ospital ng Makati.

The local chief executive is also pushing for more health service benefits for city hall employees. (Rizal S. Obanil, PNA)
