BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Acting on directives from Governor Abet S. Garcia, a top official of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) came up with various safety measures on how to minimize road accidents that had claimed numerous lives along the Roman national highway. “We met recently with various government agencies to come up with a scheme on how to address the problems following the series of fatal road accidents along the highway,” said District Engineer Janet Nero. It was learned that many of the road mishaps were caused by errors on the part of the motorists, especially tricycle drivers who are reckless or ignorant of the traffic rules. (Mar T. Supnad)
