Surigao will be Wi-Fi city

DAVAO CITY – Surigao City will soon be the first “Wi-Fi City” in the country as a United Statesbased information technology company is set to pilot test in the city its “Digital City” project which comes with a security system and smart monitoring of electricity in Mindanao. Macrotech Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President Laura Blanco said by 2017, they will make the Surigao City as the exhibit area for this project. The smart electricity monitoring feature will allow consumers to monitor their energy consumption and track the best time of the day to do some of the household chores for them to get lower electricity cost.
