Tax reform

DAVAO CITY – The proposed comprehensive tax reform program (CTRP) of the Department of Finance (DOF), which aims to “simplify and correct” the present tax system, has gained the support of a top official of the Mindanao Business Council (MBC). MBC President Vicente Lao said that he believes the proposed tax reform is fiscally sound, responsible, and will be able to address the development needs of the country, particularly in Mindanao. “Change is here, and with this proposed reform that change will become economically transformative,” he added.
