New CRSAFP chief named
The Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP) has a new commander after Brigadier General Rhoderick M. Parayno relinquished the post on Thursday. Marine Colonel Edgard A Arevalo, chief of the AFP Public Affairs Office, announced that Brigadier General Ronnie S. Evangelista was designated to head CRSAFP during a Change of Command Ceremony at the CRSAFP Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Parayno is a member of the PMA “Sandiwa” Class of 1985. He graduated 6th in his class as Magna Cum Laude. He has served 31 years in the military, mostly in combat duties in Mindanao. Parayno was named commander of the 2nd Infantry Division Philippine Army in Tanay, Rizal. Meanwhile, Evangelista takes post fully-equipped with knowledge and experiences acquired during his stint as the Deputy Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command. (Francis T. Wakefield)
