Local shares ease back slightly

Local stocks eased back slightly yesterday reflecting weakness in regional equity markets. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed lower by 21.87 points or 0.32 points at 6,886.74. The wider All-Shares index lost 7.96 points or 0.19 percent at 4,166.49. Trading volume also declined with 838.9 million shares valued at R6.85 billion changing hands. Advancers edged decliners, 90-89, with 45 issues unchanged.
