Body dumped near Manila school

The body of an unidentifi­ed man, whose face was wrapped in packaging tape, was found in front of an elementary school in Sampaloc, Manila early yesterday.

Police said the man, around 30 to 35 years old, was discovered at around 2:20 a.m. in front of Graciano Lopez Jaena Elementary School along Matimyas Street, by an employee who passed by the area.

PO3 Roderick Magpaule of the Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Section said that aside from the man’s face, his hands and feet were also tied using a packaging tape.

Investigat­ors also found a stab wound in his neck.

Police tried to gather details from bystanders in the area to establish the suspect’s identity, to no avail.

Further investigat­ion is ongoing to establish the man’s identity and his assailants. (Analou De Vera)
