ANNUAL HOLIDAY RUN FOR A WORTHWHILE CAUSE

CLOSE TO 2,000 runners trooped to Camp Aguinaldo in support of education and good health via the SunPIOLOgy Run held recently.

The holiday fundraiser, now on its eighth year, carried the theme #SugarWars and featured a starstudded After-Run show, all for the benefit of Hebreo Foundation, Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation, Inc. (ISDFI), Star Magic scholars, and Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines, Inc.

Even before the run, the SunPIOLOgy activity area was buzzing with excitement from the games and giveaways courtesy of event sponsors. It was even made colorful by the basketball shootout and mechanical bull ride from Sun Life’s wellness community GoWell. The highest scorer and longest rider were each rewarded with a cool Garmin Vivofit 3. And for those who shared pictures of the event, four of them got lucky as ‘Selfie With Papa P’ winners.

Here are the race results: For 3k Men’s, Jose Lapuos (10:54) came in first followed by Jojie Dagaas (11:01) and Reggie Lumawag (11:27). The 3k Women’s are Aliah Macuyag (17:17), Therese Malapad (17:26), and Elsa de Torres (18:49).
