GMA on a roll with upcoming shows
GMA Network announced recently its roster of programs this 2017. Produced by the GMA Drama Group, these are top billed by both the hottest and up-and-coming Kapuso actors.
Aside from the now airing romanticcomedy soap “Meant To Be” top billed by Barbie Forteza, the other shows are: “Destined To Be Yours,” a Valentine offering starring Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza; the Pinoy remake of the hit Koreanovela “My Love From The Star,” starring Jennylyn Mercado; and “Mulawin Vs. Ravena,” which is GMA’s biggest production this 2017 starring Dennis Trillo and with special participation of Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
Two other GMA shows up ahead are: “Legally Blind” with Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez, who will be tackling her most challenging and mature role as a rape victim who becomes a lawyer to seek justice from her tormentors; and the remake of the successful TV series “Impostora,” which is the first GMA-produced TV drama adapted by a foreign country and starring Kris Bernal.
“Cased Solved” is another original show soon to air on the network. Hosted by Dingdong Dantes, the docu-drama delves into crime prevention.
“Full House Tonight,” a weekly comedymusical show, premieres on Feb. 18.
For premiere within the year: “I Heart Davao,” “D’Originals,” “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko,” “Project Achieved,” “Lip Sync Battle Philippines Season 3” and “Text Serye.”
The lead stars of “Meant To Be” namely Barbie Forteza and her four leading men Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj, Jak Roberto and Ken Chan thrilled fans recently at the Sinulog and Dinagyang festivals, as well as during their mall shows held at SM City Rosario.
Also in the cast are Sheryl Cruz, Manilyn Reyes, Tina Paner, Keempee de Leon, Mika dela Cruz, Sef Cadayona, and Ms. Gloria Romero.

106.7 Energy FM wants to make this radio jock-listener relationship more fun and exciting through its “Date A Jock” promo. (Pwede na ninyo akong idate mga bro!)
“Since it’s the season of love, we are giving listeners a chance to not only meet but most especially go out on a date with their favourite Energy FM DJs,” said the station’s marketing assistant, Joanna Hernandez.
To join, listeners should visit and like the Energy FM Manila official Facebook page and check the Date a Jock promo post on the timeline. They may choose one radio jock (bawal daw sugapa sa ka-date!) from among DJ Lindsay, DJ Jim, DJ Sheena and me.
Participants need only answer the question posed by the DJ of their choice via video, which they should then post on Facebook. Last day of submission of entries is on Feb.7, announcement of winners on Feb. 8. The date happens on Feb. 9. (Uunahan ang mga magsi-celebrate sa Feb. 14!)
