by the Central Isabela Agri Manufacturing Corporation that include a cassava uprooter, mechanical corn planter, rice seed cleaner and several others.

The high cost of feeds is a major concern of livestock and poultry raisers. Again, Agriculture Magazine has published various techniques of cutting feed cost like the use of fermented feeds, use of probiotics not only to reduce feed cost but also to enhance animal health. The magazine has advocated the use of silage for large and small ruminants. Nutritious and fast-growing forage crops that have been featured in the magazine are now standard supplemental feeds for many farm animals. One example: Pakchong 1 or the socalled Super Napier was first written about in the Philippines by yours truly. This is becoming a byword among local “agripreneurs.” Agriculture Magazine has featured local organic farms that have proven their worth like the Costales Nature Farms, Ephrathah Farms in Iloilo and others. Above all, we have featured a lot of Leisure Farms in Taiwan which could serve as models for local entrepreneurs.

Many of the high-value crops churned out by seed companies are featured in Agriculture Magazine. And these are picked up by enterprising farmers who become rich by growing them.

Besides the new hybrids, Agriculture Magazine also features useful indigenous crops that contribute to biodiversity and conservation of species.

Ideas and techniques are regularly featured in Agriculture Magazine that redound to sustainable agriculture. In the face of climate change, the magazine is contributing what it can to the practice of protecting the soil and the environment.

Overall, Agriculture Magazine covers a wide range of topics. The bottom line is that all the stories impart useful knowledge to its readers whatever sector they may be operating in.
