The Southern Police District (SPD) confirmed yesterday that the chief of Makati City Police has been sacked due to the recent series of unsolved crimes in his area of responsibility (AOR).

Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario Jr., SPD director, said that Senior Supt. Milo Pagtalunan was removed from his post as chief of the Makati City Police as per an order of National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) Director Oscar Albayalde last Monday.

Apolinario said that Pagtalunan will be reassigned to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City

Replacing him in Makati is Sr. Supt. Dionisio Bartolome, former chief of personnel of the Police Regional Office 4-A.

Since the start of this year, the Makati City Police has recorded more than 20 robbery incidents mostly happening on Chino Roces Avenue. Bartolome’s marching orders is to put a stop to these robberies and arrest those behind them.
