D-League: Cignal eyes 2nd spot against Blustar

Cignal-San Beda gets a chance to gain a share of the second spot when it battles Blustar Detergent today in the 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Coming off a 95-68 victory over Batangas last Monday, the Hawkeyes want to rectify their miscues before facing off against stronger squads.

Jason Perkins and Byron Villarias are expected to come out firing anew as they have been instrumental in giving Blustar a 3-1 record behind league-leading Racal (5-0) and Café France (4-1).

In the opener at 11 am, Jose Rizal University and Victoria Sports-MLQU take the spotlight with the Heavy Bombers aching to bounce back from a 75-57 beating it absorbed from Café France last Thursday.

It's a must-win for JRU as it eyes to stay relevent midway through the conference.

Victoria Sports, however, has to come up with renewed energy so it could check a fourgame losing skid.
