Cignal posts 4th straight victory

Cignal-San Beda cruised to its four straight victory while Victoria SportsMLQU scored a breakthrou­gh win after beating separate rivals yesterday in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Robert Bolick scored all of his 15 points in the second and third quarters while adding four rebounds and three assists as Cignal bucked a poor start and routed Blustar Detergent-Malaysia, 109-79.

On the other hand, Victoria Sports ended a 0-4 start behind 22 points from Robbie Herndon and 20 from Aries Dionisio in dealing Jose Rizal University its third straight defeat, 76-66.

Cignal, which also drew 15 points on 3-of-6 threes from Byron Villarias, forged a tie for second place with CaféFrance at 4-1, while Victoria Sports moved to a three-way share of seventh and ninth with Wangs Basketball and Batangas.
