Police are determining if the attack was work-related since Mascariñas-Green belonged to the Environmental Legal Assistance Center, where she handled civil and criminal cases.
Robredo called on authorities to “fast track its investigation” on the killing of and ”bring those responsible to justice and eliminate the culture of impunity in the country.”
Robredo also sent her condolences to the family of Mascariñas-Green.
