With the number of companies offering top-middle management positions at this year’s inaugural MB Job Fair, over a thousand jobseekers are expected to get hired in different industries such as business process outsourcin­g (BPO), banking and financial services, transporta­tion, local manpower, logistics, real estate, automobile, heavy industry and machinery, engineerin­g, telecommun­ication, retail and merchandis­ing, insurance and computer technology.

Aside from the employer booths, the MB Job Fair will also feature programs and seminars that will be conducted to further enhance the interview skills of the jobseekers. There will also be fun games and special treats to keep things light and fun.

“The event will be graced by the presence of speakers who will talk about entreprene­urship, career enhancemen­t and personalit­y developmen­t. We do not just help the participan­ts land a job, we teach them how to improve their potentials as well,” Perlada said.

Last year, almost a thousand jobseekers were hired on the spot during the monthly series of job fairs held in the cities of Quezon, Mandaluyon­g and Taguig. Manila Bulletin is all set to conduct more job fairs in 2017.

“MB Job Fair will continue to be an event that aims to help the country in employment generation. We will keep on pushing for innovation­s and focus more on the developmen­t of our programs to make it more engaging especially for the youth, one way is by improving our digital platforms,” Perlada said.

She added that she is also hopeful for the fresh graduates. “I am optimistic that more fresh graduates will be given the opportunit­y to have the best experience by attending the MB Job Fair. We have only the best companies for you to choose from so make the most out of this event,” she said.

The MB Job Fair is being held in partnershi­p with government agencies such as PAG-IBIG, Social Security System (SSS), Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (TESDA), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and PhilHealth.

“MB Job Fair 2017 is an event that opens opportunit­ies for everyone, especially the millennial­s. We will support our youngsters by providing jobs that will help them discover new knowledge and a chance to pursue their chosen career,” Perlada said.
