LGU employee slain at drug den

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — A city government employee was killed and another one hurt after an unidentified gunman shot them early Sunday morning while they were under the bridge in Barangay Uno, here, which police said yesterday is a suspected drug den. Killed on the spot was Juneau Bayani, administrative aide IV of the Calamba City Hall, said Supt. Albert Talupao, city police chief. Bayani was gunned down at 3:30 a.m. while Renato Austria was wounded in the same attack. Tapulao said Bayani was once arrested for illegal drugs and had been the subject of a robbery-hold-up complaint. (Danny J. Estacio)
