Local shares extend gains

Local shares rose for the third straight day yesterday. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) finished 66.75 points or 0.92 percent higher at 7,313.87. The wider All-Shares index also gained by 29.97 points or 0.67 percent at 4,415.13. Trading volume improved with 1.69 billion shares, valued at R7.618 billion, changing hands. Advancers swamped decliners, 107-75 with 46 issues unchanged.
