SM Woman, the department store private label, kicked off Women’s Month with a game-changing collection for spring/summer 2017. At their recent fashion show held at SM Makati, they highlighted several key trends for the summer: optic
whites, tropical prints, poplin pieces, athleisure, and sheer tulles. We particularly loved the flowy white maxi dresses, off-shoulder tops, chic chambray separates, and dainty lightweight lace dresses to keep you looking—and feeling—cool all summer long.
They also presented several sizzling beachwear collections to match the rising temperatures: bold botanicals, bright patterned and color-blocked swimsuits, a sophisticated nautical line, romantic neutrals in flounced black and white bikinis, chic cut-out suits, and mesh cover-ups with floral appliqués to complete your beach or poolside ensemble.
A diverse range of women with different body types and lifestyles joined the professional models on the runway, demonstrating how every woman can rock the spring/summer collection in her own unique, fabulous way. The fashion show was preceded by a quick screening of SM Woman’s bold visual campaign, featuring an international roster of models flown in from Ford Modeling Agency as well as our very own Joey Mead King and Angelina Mead King, representing the different archetypes of the new SM Woman: feminine, youthful (but not necessarily young!), strong, and all comfortable in their own skin.
