HackXS: Solve Social Issues

HackXS is an idea pitching competitio­n to help solve pressing social issues. Creative teams get the opportunit­y to show off great ideas. HackXS also includes workshops and coaching delivered byleading industry experts. You meet and learn from them.

Xavier School in San Juan will hold this event on the 1st and 2nd of April 2017 at the Multipurpo­se hall. HackXS is open to Junior High School or Senior High School students from anywhere in the world.

Each team can have from 3 to 5 members. Build a better world by solving a social issue in these two days. Your team’s ideas must be creative and workable. You can develop a working model later.

Your team will then pitch your ideas and prototypes to a panel of judges. You will gain invaluable experience. You get a taste of entreprene­urship. You get exposed to the life of a startup. You might win 10,000.00. Your participat­iongets added into your resume and CV. Plus, expect to make new friends. You might even get funding for your successful idea.

The officers in Next Lab created HackXSthis year. Many in Next Lab had participat­ed and won in college hackathons. While it was intimidati­ng for high schoolers tocompete against college students,Next Lab memberswon and placed in the top three. All it took was creativity and hard work.NextLab wanted to help other high school students. HackXSwas born tofill this goal. HackXSis the platform for students to showcase amazing ideas.
