Real estate giant Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) is planning to launch three new estates in Metro Manila, Cavite and Davao this year while affiliate Ortigas & Co. is studying the possible development of a 300-hectare property in Rizal.

In a media briefing after the firm’s annual stockholders’ meeting, ALI Bernard Vincent Dy said they introduced two key mixed-use developments – One Ayala in Makati Central Business District (CBD) and the 17.5-hectare Gatewalk Central in Mandaue, Cebu last year to bring their total to 20 sustainable estates.

ALI Senior vice president for Strategic Landbank Management Anna Ma. Margarita Dy said they will be launching Evo City in Kawit, Cavite which, at 250 hectares, will be the biggest development there.

She said Evo City will benefit from the infrastructure there which includes major arteries such as the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), C-5 extension, and the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX).

ALI is also developing a 25-hectare property with a sea frontage in Davao City to be called Azuela Cove. The property used to be the lumberyard of the Alcantara family, ALI’s joint venture partner for the project.

Finally, ALI is finalizing the plans for a 35-hectare parcel of land at the border of Quezon City and Pasig City in partnership with landowner LT Group of taipan Lucio Tan. “This is our first play in the C-5 corridor and it will be one of the largest (developments) in that area,” Dy said.

Meanwhile, former ALI Chief Finance Officer and the new Chairman and President of Ortigas & Co. Jaime Ysmael said Concrete Aggregates Corporation, a listed firm that is 70 percent-owned by Ortigas, has a 300 hectare property in Angono, Rizal.
