Ryza Cenon has left GMA Artist Center, believing she could do more as an actress with Viva
The Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix tandem – “BiGuel” to their fans – is one of the most successful reel couples of their generations.
In a recent interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Bianca credits her personal success to the popularity of their on-screen romance.
“Walang Bianca Miguel,” she said.
BiGuel has lasted eight years but Bianca didn’t expect it would go this far.
“As in zero percent po talaga. Actually I really didn’t expect na I would even know him, and I’ll be going to work with him.”
What if management decides to pair each of them with other actors?
“Naku, may forever po sa BiGuel,” Bianca said. “Mas komportable po kami sa isa’t-isa eh.” Still, if they have to do it, they will. “Kung ano po ’yung work na ibibigay sa amin, tatanggapin namin pero sana mas gusto namin na kaming dalawa (ang magkasama),” she said.
What about their personal growth as actors, we asked. kung walang
“Mas okay po na together kami maggrow,” Bianca shot back.
“Ako naman po merong din sariling career path, ganu’n din po si Miguel. Pero nakikita ko po na maraming magagandang nangyayari sa career namin kapag magkasama kami, so mas okay kung kami po talagang dalawa.”
Bianca considers Miguel as her special someone.
“Basta masaya po kami together,” said she, short of confirming they are a couple.
During the interview, the two kept glancing at each other and they were holding hands.
“Close po talaga kami sa isa’t-isa eh. Kami naman po ayaw namin maging plastik basta kung ano po talaga kami, ’yun talaga ang pinapakita namin,” she shared.
Does it mean they are in a relationship, we asked directly.
According to Bianca, it is better for them not to put label on their relationship, at least for now.
“I think you don’t have to be in a And ako naman po, mahal ko po si bata pa po kami,” na pero ’yun nga po lagi pong magkakasama ang mga namin,” she related.
“Masaya po talaga eh. Mga pinsan ko, tsaka mga pinsan ni Miguel close na din, so nakakatuwa lang po kasi parang magkakadugo na talaga kaming lahat.” Bianca lost her parents at a young age, that is why she had to learn to take care of herself and adopt a certain level of independence. “Being independent for years has taught me a lot of things talaga,” she shared. “I guess the experience I had sa past really made me into who I am now.” Bianca is not content riding on her fame. She values education despite her showbiz commitments. The actress is currently in senior high school. Asked how she juggles work and school, Bianca cites time management. “Kung kaya naman po siyang gawin ng sabay, why not ’di ba?,” she said. “Kasi I believe kapag gusto mo po ang isang bagay, gagawa at gagawa ka ng paraan para ma-pursue mo ’yun.”
Bianca is currently seen on the GMA fantaserye “Mulawin Vs. Ravena.” She plays the role of Lawiswis, the owl friend of Pagaspas (Miguel) who transforms into a young girl when with him.
It was only last week when her character on the show appeared and Bianca describes it as “super overwhelming talaga.”
“Actually magkausap kami ni Miguel sa phone as we were both watching. Sobrang excited kami tapos nu’ng pinakita na ’yung characters namin, napa-‘wow’ na lang po talaga kami,” she narrated.
Asked what to expect in the coming episodes, Bianca said, “Madami pong mangyayari, maraming twists na dapat abangan at tiyak na magugustuhan ng mga manunuod.” “Sana umabot,” pa po ’yan, “Naku matagal muna dapat.”
