Don’t look now but you just might catch Liza Soberano singing ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ as the heroine

Liza Soberano is pretty but she doesn’t rely just on her looks to shine. Displaying versatility as actress, she can also sing, write songs and play guitar. “I can’t say na I’m the best singer but when I sing with my friends or relatives, or even during shows, I know that I’m having fun. For me, that’s the important thing kasi eh,” she told members of media in an interview.

She is into pop and R and B. Her favorite song? “All Night” by The Vamps. The actress is also into rap. “I know rap is very difficult, it requires a lot of passion,” she admitted. “Like for example Eminem, all of his songs convey a message while some are very personal. I find it tricky but that’s why parang it challenges me also.” Are there plans for her to record an album, we asked. “Actually before pa lang po parang nag-plan na mag-a-album ako kaya lang hindi natuloy because I’d been busy with other things,” Liza divulged.

If and when it pushes through, the actress-singer shared she will be hands-on in all aspects of creating her album.

“Kasi it will unleash the other side of me po so I really want it to be special. Hopefully soon, matuloy na po (’yung album),” she said.

Liza plans to take formal voice lessons soon. Given the chance, the actress would love to collaborate with singer KZ Tandingan.

“Pero siyempre it depends po on the song,” she shared. “But I really love to work with Ate KZ kasi super galing niya po talaga.”

As the newest Darna, Liza is also open to singing the theme song of her own movie.
