Point of final clarity

-

“Let us stop talking. Let us resume the fight for another 50 years. Ayaw ko ng makipag-usap sa kanila. Marami na silang utang.” — President Rodrigo

Duterte

TBy HIS is the tipping point. The moment of final clarity. President Duterte launched early in his administration a peace initiative with dialogue, negotiations, accommodation (in his Cabinet), with the objective of ending four decades of carnage. Jose Ma. Sison and company countered via open criticism, street protest, ambush, death, and the worse cut of all, treachery.

Recent events prior to the SONA show premeditated betrayal amid the ongoing “peace talks.”

Four were wounded in a bulletriddled van of the Presidential Security Group in Arakan N. Cotabato. Private farm equipment were burned in Tago, Surigao Sur. Six PNP personnel were ambushed and killed in Negros Oriental, including Guihulngan City police chief Supt. Arnel Arpon. One soldier was killed and others were wounded in another NPA attack in Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

The City of Davao got it right the first time when it plastered posters around the metropolis calling the CPPNPA-NDF “terrorists, extortionists, and anti-peace.” Credit goes to the defiant LGU led by Mayor Sarah Duterte for “permitting” the action. Mayor Sarah may tutor the “peace panel” on a reality check, as she points the way, instead, for future “localized peace talks.” The government sincerely wants to talk and achieve peace. The CPP comprehends final peace in ideological terms. A bloody revolution to establish a Communist-totalitarian state. They abuse every advantage, are dexterous with democratic space, in pushing the descent and collapse of the republic. There can be no gray line on this issue. To say “suspended” or “postponed peace talks,” is added self-flagellation, enlisting more government casualties in this charade. Enough is enough. Enough is too much already.

* * * People’s National Movement for Federalism (PENAMFED), “senatoriable” Dante Liban and Freddie Aguilar warns the public against the illegal use of using the name of PRRD PENAMFED, signatures, official logos of the Office of the President, DILG, and photo of the president, by a group that issued unauthorized IDs and illegaly collected fees. PRRD PENAMFED is filling charges of usurpation, falsification, and estafa against the group.
